About the Exhibition
As it is marked the first group exhibition of the Korean Folk Art, Inc., featuring the works of ten dedicated members.
The exhibition presented more than twenty works that beautifully reinterpreted traditional Minhwa motifs such as tigers and magpies, dragons, flowers, and butterflies. Alongside paintings on paper, visitors could also enjoy hand-painted fans, mirrors, and fabric bags—each piece filled with personal meaning and cultural symbolism.
The Korean Folk Art, Inc. serves as a creative space where participants explore Minhwa as both an artistic and meditative practice. Each artist brings their own personality and life story to the traditional techniques, often turning their works into heartfelt gifts or meaningful home decorations.
True to its title, As it is celebrated authenticity over perfection—embracing each brushstroke “as it is.” The exhibition invited viewers to appreciate the sincerity and individuality within each work, sharing the timeless beauty and joyful spirit of Korean folk painting.
